Lady Raiders head to tourney

Coach Kyle King and his Lady Raider softball team head to Magee, Miss., this Saturday as a #2 seed in the MAIS-AAA North/South State Softball Tournament.

The eight team tournament will feature the top four teams from the north region and the two four from the south region.

The Lady Raiders will carry their 24-y record with confidence into the tournament, knowing it will take their A game to compete and reach their ultimate goal.

Riverfield still undefeated

Much needed rain hit several areas of northeast Louisiana last Friday night.

One area that saw plenty of the wet stuff was Joe Meeks Field. The rain moved in about an hour before kick off time and continued throughout the game in an on again, off again fashion.

So, on a soggy, wet field, the Riverfield Raiders squared off against the St. Aloysius Flashes. The rain and wet field seemed to hinder the Raiders very little as they posted a 36-15 victory in the contest.
