Becky Smith of West Monroe will sign copes of her book, “The Delhi Mafia” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 7 at E.W. Thompson’s Drugstore in Delhi.

Smith’s novel is the story of three small town country girls from Delhi who discover a striking resemblance between their new elderly neighbor to that of Elvis Presley.

After some rather intense undercover investigating they see that sexy sideways grin and hear the famous, “Thank you, thank you ver’ much.”

‘Forget Self-Help’ gives time-honored advice

Thomas Fellows is breaking new ground with his new book, “Forget Self-Help.”

In his book, Fellows draws upon her personal experiences as well as his knowledge of history, psychology and scripture to offer advice on living a fulfilling life.

The secret, he points out, can be as simple as following the Bible’s advice in Matthew 7:12. Better known as the Golden Rule, the verse advises people to treat others as they would like to be treated.

Fellows contends that the best way to help yourself is to help others.

Delicious gumbo, made by Chef John Graham of Holly Ridge, was enjoyed by all. Some of the Saints provided awesome desserts.
