An international female singing organization is encouraging women to live “Life on a High Note,” and to help that occur, the Ruston chapter is offering four “Find Your Voice – and Sing!” sessions in July and August.

Piney Hills Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is hosting a special series of guest nights that area women can attend to see how singing can bring positive changes to your life. 

The “Life on a High Note” program indicates that you can actually find more than your voice with a Sweet Adelines chorus.

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of June 9-16.

• Kevin Head, 25; 206 Breland Drive, Monroe; disturbing the peace by fighting.

• Jalin Edwards, 23; 409 Rosa St., Rayville; off road vehicle.

• Onyae’ Johnson, 26; 146·B South Circle Drive, Rayville; failure to appear for  speeding.

• Charles Morrison, 36; 711 Larche Lane, Bastrop; disturbing the peace by loud music.

Saints Alive, a ministry of First Baptist Church, held its monthly meeting May 20th. 

Saints Alive meets during the months of  September through May. Anyone fifty or over is invited to join.

Membership dues are $10 per person for the year. We have delicious meals, wonderful Christian entertainment/ministry and the best fellowship ever. Come for a visit, and then if you would like to join you are most welcome.
