Carl A. Magee

Funeral services for Carl “Dado” A. Magee, 87, of Jonesboro, were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville with Bro. Prentis Gandy, Wess Magee, and Bruce Magee officiating. 

Interment followed in the Little Creek Cemetery, Alto.

Mr. Carl was born August 10, 1930 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in Shreveport, LA.

Mr. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Zelma Magee; son, Allen Magee, brothers, LeVan Magee and Delmas Magee; and sisters, Floriece Miller and Bobbie Chapman.

Reita Lynn Lamb

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Alto Baptist Church, Alto, with Dr. Alan Miller officiating.

Reita Lynn Lamb was born June 1, 1950 in Monroe, and passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Rayville.

Mrs. Reita was a member of the Alto Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion Briley, Eloise Clark and J.W. Clark; sisters, Linda Briley and Dianne Robinson, and Hilda Gentry.

A.B. Love

Memorial services for A.B. Love, 87, of Rayville, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Love Family Cemetery, Rayville, LA with Bro. Prentis Gandy officiating.

Mr. A.B. was born May 28, 1930 in Philadelphia, MS and passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Rayville, LA. Mr. A.B. is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Love.

Dr. William David Thompson

Funeral services for Dr. William David Thompson, 66, of Delhi, were held  Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Rayville United Methodist Church with Rev. John Kavaungh officiating. 

Interment followed in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

David was born May 11, 1951 in Monroe, LA and passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in Monroe, LA.

Hollis Eugene Harper

Hollis Eugene Harper, 91, currently of Denham Springs began the next part of his life’s adventure Sunday, December 10,2017. 

He was born of the union of Arthur Harris and Lillie Pylant Harper in Franklin Parish, Louisiana. 

He served in the armed forces in World War II earning the designation of Expert Marksman.

 He spent his life in agribusiness as a farmer, as manager of Terrick Inc. in Delhi, Louisiana and in sales with Terrell Norris Inc.

He loved all children and always said he could pick any of them up on the side of the road and make them his own.
