Douglas Elick Massey

Private memorial service for Douglas Massey, 70, of Delhi will be March 3, 2018 at the Poverty Point Lake State Park.

Douglas was born on July 1, 1947 in Greenville, MS and passed from this life on February 24, 2018 in West Monroe. He is preceded in death by his parents-Johnny and Elise Kirkland Massey. He was an avid fisherman, loved to be on the lake, loved deer hunting, frog hunting, loved the outdoors, loved his family, and loved his grandchildren. He loved to watch westerns on TV and western movies.

Wanda Lou Thomason

Services for Wanda Lou Thomason, 82, of Rayville were Friday, February 23, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. Micky Alexander officiating. 

Burial was in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Rayville.

Mrs. Wanda was born on May 8, 1935 in Wills Point, TX and passed from this life on February 20, 2018 at her home in Dehlco, LA.

She loved to sew, excellent seamstress, cook, loved her family and grandchildren, loved camping at Bayou Louie, and loved the outdoors.

Frances Sylvia Jones

Frances Sylvia Jones passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Sylvia grew up in Mangham, Louisiana and graduated from Mangham High School.  She continued her studies at Northeast Louisiana University majoring in medical technology with a minor in Chemistry.  Later she received a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Louisiana Tech University.

Frances Jean Jarreau

Funeral services for Frances Jean Jarreau, 67, of Start, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville. Interment was in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville.

Mrs. Frances was born August 16, 1950 in Baton Rouge, LA and passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 in Start.

Shirley Ann Dobson Carr

Funeral services for Shirley Ann Dobson Carr, 66, of Epps, were held Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Harmony Baptist Church, Delhi, with Bro. Russell Caldwell officiating.

Interment followed in the Epps Cemetery, Epps under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mrs. Carr was born January 20, 1952 in Delhi, LA and passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Epps, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Cecil Dobson; father-in-law, Howard Ray Carr; mother-in-law, L.E. Carr, and brother-in-law, Billy Ray Carr.
