Obituaries

Graveside services for Anthony Dale Guin, 54, of Rayville, were held Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Bay Spring Cemetery, Lena, with Bro. Michael Dubois officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. Anthony was born September 29, 1967, and passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, in Monroe. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rodney Dale and Mary Frances Guin; maternal grandparents, Dewey and Estelle Murray; paternal grandparents, Jim and Pauline Guin; and his stepson, Chris Hollaway.

Funeral services for Marvin Colvin, 74, of Start, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Start Baptist Church, Start,  with Bro. Bobby Magee, Bro. Jeff Thomas and Bro. Cody Albritton officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Start Cemetery, Start, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. Marvin was born September 3, 1947, in Start and passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, in Start. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Allyson Renea Colvin; sisters, Myrtle Hickman and Judy Dutile; and his parents, Euel and Bernice Colvin.

A celebration of life for Betty Marie Salsbury Carraway was held Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Mangham Baptist Church, Mangham,  with Brother Rick Aultman officiating. 

Visitation started at 10 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m.

Interment followed at Gwin Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Betty Marie Salsbury Carraway, an 83-year-old native of Mangham,  passed away on November 21, 2021, from a brief illness.
