Graveside services for Martha Jones Peters, 85, of Rayville, were held at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton on Saturday, August 12, 2023, with Johnny Hoychick Jr. officiating under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy Ann “Dot” Shivers Grissom, 81, of Start, were Monday, August 14, 2023, at Harris Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Wayne Clark officiating with interment in cemetery, all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dot was born February 23, 1942, to the late Lawrence and Constance Shivers, and passed away to go her heavenly home reunion August 12, 2023, at her residence in Start. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Cheryl Ulmer.
A member of Eastside Baptist Church Dot enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Graveside services for Verlon E. Lawrence, 76, of Columbia, will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, with Bro. Jeff “Preacher” Eagles officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Mr. Verlon was born December 17, 1946, in Monroe and passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Columbia.
Mr. Verlon retired as a sergeant first class from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service.
Memorial services for Charles Glen Germany, 76, of Rayville, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2023, at Rayville Methodist Church with Brother Aaron Carpenter and Brother Jeff Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow in Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023, in the Family Life Center of Rayville Methodist Church.
Funeral services for Sonya L. Stansell, 51, of Monroe, were held Sunday, July 30, 2023 at First United Pentecostal Church Rayville, Rayville, with Bro. Stacy Thomas and Bro. Anthony Smithey officiating.
Interment was in the Greer Cemetery, Rayville, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Mrs. Sonya was born September 3, 1971, in West Monroe and passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, in Monroe.
