Nolan Richard Cain

Nolan, fondly known as Rick, a beloved father, grandfather, and Navy veteran, passed away on August 25, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was 70 years old.

Born on December 26, 1952, in Rayville, Rick loved his family and country. He proudly served in the United States Navy, dedicating four years (1972-1976) of his life to protecting and serving his nation. His commitment and bravery earned him the respect and admiration of his fellow servicemen.

Betty Glass Davis Royals

Funeral services for Betty Glass Davis Royals, 81, of Pearson, GA, formerly of Baskin, were held Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville,with Bro. David Shirley officiating. 

Interment was in the Lynn Cemetery, Archibald.

Mrs. Betty was born July 20, 1942, to the late Purvis Delton Glass and the late Estelle Gaither Kirbo Glass. She passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA, following a short unexpected illness.

Helen Irene Myers

Funeral Services for Mrs. Helen Irene Myers, 92, of Epps, were 3 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Arnold officiating.

Interment followed at Lone Cherry Cemetery in Mangham. Arrangements were under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville.

Mrs. Myers was born May 31, 1931, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 24, 2023. She was a member of Hegwood Baptist Church. Granny loved traveling, gardening, quilting, cooking for her family, but more importantly spending time with her family.

Michael Collins Jr.

Memorial services for Michael “Mike” Collins Jr., 37, of Rayville, were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Brown-Holley Chapel, Rayville, with Bro. DeWayne Fountain officiating. 

Mike was born September 24, 1985, in Monroe and passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, in West Monroe.

Mike was a sergeant with the US Army National Guard. He was proud member of the NELA EMS family for 12 years. He was also a volunteer firefighter with District 8 Fire Department for the last five years. 

Bryn Francis Thompson and Harrison Abram Thompson

Bryn Francis Thompson (age 9) and Harrison Abram Thompson (age 7) were carried into the eternal light of Heaven by Doc and Pops on Monday, August 14, 2023.

On October 4, 2013, God blessed the world with Bryn’s presence. She was beginning her fourth-grade year at Riverfield and was a cheerleader for the Raider Nation. Some of the things that Bryn loved most in this world were piano, animals, school, organizing things, art, Mama and Daddy, Hayes and Harrison, her family and friends and Cow.
