Memorial services for Mr. Sheldon Ray Powell, 68, of Start, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the First Baptist Church, Rayville, with Bro. Stacy Thomas officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. Sheldon was born January 4, 1955, in Delhi,  and passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, in Monroe.

Sheldon was born to Joseph and Mae Belle Powell on January 4, 1955, in Delhi, Louisiana. He spent 50 years married to the love of his life Sherlyn Powell. They had four children: Shalanda, Shondell, Shandon and Shadly.

Graveside services for James Edwin Lowry, 80, of Rayville, were held  Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Greer Cemetery, Rayville, with Bro. Johnny Hoychick and Bro. Edward Greer officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. James was born March 7, 1943, in Rayville and passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, in West Monroe.

Memorial services for Glenda Nell (Guice) Moore were held Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the House of Grave in Delhi.

She was born on Aug. 2, 1955, in Delhi and died on Sept. 12 in Youngstown, Ohio. 

Glenda Graduated Epps High School in 1974.  She achieved her bachelor’s degree in education from Northeast Louisiana University in 1978.
