Melvin Lamb

Melvin Lamb was born February 17, 1937, and passed away October 10, 2022, at home. 

He retired from both the US Navy and the civil service after 20 years of service at both. He was very fortunate to have had many years to enjoy retirement back in Delhi after raising his family in Norfolk, VA. His love for animals, especially dogs and horses, had no bounds.

 He was very loved by his family and friends, always offering his help and support at any moment. He never missed anything to do with his grandkids as he loved them more than anything and they gave him so much joy and happiness. He was surrounded by his most loved family until the very end. He will be greatly missed. The love he gave to his family will be forever cherished and his memory will never fade. 

Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Lamb; son, William “Billy” Lamb; father, John Lamb; and mother, Velma Lamb.  

At Melvin’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
