Lela Faye Silk

Memorial services for Lela Faye Silk, 89, of Rayville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, with Bro. Eric Silk officiating.

Mrs. Lela was born June 30, 1932, in Rayville and passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, in Monroe.

Mrs. Lela was a member of the Church of Christ. She was employed in the banking industry and retired from Guaranty Bank and then later Commercial Capital. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Silk; son, Gene Silk; and her parents, Terry Lee and Ethel Hendrix.

Survivors include her children, Mike Silk and wife, Kay, of Mer Rouge, Judith Silk Lewis of West Monroe and Eric Silk and wife, Tina, of Rayville; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; sister, Mary Norris of Jacksonville, FL; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
