Joshua Charles Berry

Funeral services for Joshua “Josh” Charles Berry, 42, of Rayville, LA were held Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Bayou Faith Chapel, Bee Bayou, LA with Bro. Phillip Holloway, Sis. Dee Temple and Bro. Marc Rigsby officiating. Interment followed in the Lynn Cemetery, Archibald, LA.

Josh was a great friend and loving son, father, husband, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin.  He had an unforgettable personality and he never met a stranger. Josh was a funny guy, and he had a way of making you laugh through the worst days of your life.  Josh sometimes lived his life on the edge, and he had a past, but he could not make an enemy if he tried.  We have all heard the phrase, “He’d give the shirt off his back,” and there is not a better phrase out there to describe the type of person that Josh was. There were no lengths that he would not go to help someone in need, including the time he saved a man’s life, Bro. Daniel Swinnea (pastor, evangelist, and missionary) by donating him his kidney. He was not perfect, and he had his own way of “doing” life, but he loved his family and would do anything to see that they were happy.  His wife, Jessica, says that while Josh did not talk much about what his own ambitions were, he always had new ideas, and strived to make hers happen.  One of Josh’s favorite topics was getting back in the church one day. Even in his darkest moments, Josh was still a God-fearing man, and will forever be the light of many worlds and hearts.

Joshua Berry went to be with the Lord in the fall of 2012.
