Johnny Glen Harrington

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Johnny Glen Harrington, 67, of Oak Ridge, were held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Church of the Redeemer in Oak Ridge with Rev. Whit Stodghill officiating. 

Interment followed in the New Salem Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville.

Mr. Harrington was born on June 9, 1950 and passed away on April 8, 2018. He graduated from Henderson University. Mr. Harrington retired from Richland State Bank as Executive Vice President, serving 30 years with the bank. He was very active in his community.  He loved serving with Kiwanis and also with the Booster Club at Riverfield Academy.  

He is preceded in death by parents, John Richard and Dicie Mae Spradlin Harrington; siblings, Margie Johnson, Helen Adcock, Mary Harris, Jack Harrington and Richard Harrington.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Dottie Harrington; children, Adam John Harrington and Fiance, Maggie Ardelt and Ben Harrington and wife, Chessa; granddaughter, Camille Mae Harrington; brother, Jimmy Harrington; sisters, Sherrell Senn, Wilma Harris and Linda Spradlin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Lasley Thomason, Charles Johnston, Edward Greer, Fred Scott Franklin, Walter Hillman and Jerome Vascocu.

Visitation was Wednesday, April 11, 2018  at Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Redeemer in Oak Ridge or to the Riverfield Academy Memorial Fund.
