Evelyn Mae Dorman

Funeral services for Evelyn Mae Dorman, 97, of Rayville, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, with Bro. Charles Ellzey officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Holly Ridge,  under the direction Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mrs. Evelyn was born December 27, 1926, in Simsboro and passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, in Rayville.

Mrs. Evelyn was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Rayville. She was also a member of the Triple L, W.M.U., and The Friday Nite Gang. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelly Dorman; parents, Ethel and Jesse Killen; sons, Gary Dorman and Phillip Dorman; and sisters, Virginia bowman and Nelda Forrester.

Survivors include her daughters, Sheila Hawkins of Florida, Darla Monroe, of Delhi and Tammie Dorman of Rayville; son, Windell Dorman of Farmerville; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Lee Orville Freeland of Rayville, Joyce Posey of Winnsboro and Mary Killen of Arkansas; brothers, Jess Killen Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO, Durryl Killen of Sherwood, AR, and Jim Killen of Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Damien Odom, Craig Odom, Brad Dorman, Cole Odom, Cayden Odom and Drake Odom.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville.
