Eric Gregory Bush

Eric Gregory “Greg” Bush, 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Lafayette, on January 19, 2023. 

Eric was born in Delhi to Eric Roosevelt and Earline (Moreland) Bush.

He was a 1978 graduate from Delhi High School. Greg enlisted in the Louisiana National Guard from 1978-1981. He then went on to pursue his career as a journeyman electrician that he held great passion for. He was a proud member of the Local Electrical Union IBEW 716 in Houston, TX, where he lived the majority of his career.

Greg held many hobbies, such as kayaking, fishing and competitive darts. Greg was extremely intelligent in history and was a huge sports fanatic. His favorite teams were Houston Astros (Go Stros!), New Orleans Saints and Texas Longhorns. There wasn’t anything he didn’t know or he would at least try to convince you he knew. If worst came to worse, his famous line would be “Just Google It!”

Greg is survived by his daughter, Samantha Bush; granddaughter, Brooke Burns; mother, Earline (Moreland) Bush; sisters, Sheila Bush Patterson (Kim Patterson) and Sharron Bush Smith (Bill Arbuckle); and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Eric R. Bush; and nephew, Steven Matthew Hardy.

Funeral services for Eric Gregory “Greg” Bush were held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Jason Lupo officiating.
