Arthur Tatum Gwin Jr.

ur Tatum Gwin Jr., 73, of Belle Rose, were held Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville. 

Interment followed in the Stevenson Cemetery, Rayville.

Mr. Arthur was born January 6, 1949, in Monroe and passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, in Thibodaux. 

He was a veteran with the U.S. Air Force and retired from Dow Chemical Company. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, T-Buck and Cloteel Gwin; siblings, Emma Simmons, Betty Roberts, Mae Kimball, Genevia Edwards, Prior Gwin, Gillis Gwin, Wayne Gwin and Roy Gwin.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Denise Gwin; children, Michelle Townsend and husband, Jerry, and Jennifer Miley and husband, David; grandchildren, Michael Gwin, Torie Simmons, Christina Thibodaux and Elizabeth Gwin; great grandchildren, Rickey-Lynn Proctor, Samuel Thomas, Melody Thibodaux and Cloteel Gwin; siblings, W.M. Gwin, Ruby Smith, Barbara Callegan, Sue Graham, Gail Mitchell, Sammy Gwin and Troy Gwin; and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Paul Callegan, Phil Callegan, Curt Callegan, Bob Roberts, Charles Greer and Jerry Granger.
