Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of Jan. 9-16.

• Anthony Sledge, 53, 214 Dacron St., Rayville; disturbing the peace, general.

• David Williams, 35, 424 Dacron St., Rayville; no driver’s license and failure to secure registration and license.

• Jason Prince, 40, 24 Cooper Lane, Oak Ridge; shoplifting.

• Robert Harris, 24, 1709 South 5th St., Monroe; hit and run, failure to secure license and registration, no insurance, improper turn with an accident and no driver’s license.

• Maryland McVay, 52,121 Waller Road, Delhi; theft less than $300.

• James Marshall, 52, 19 Bunnitt Road, Rayville; simple criminal trespassing.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of 17 traffic citations this week. That number includes seven for speeding, three for expired motor vehicle inspection, two for no driver’s license and one each for improper lane change with an accident, off road on a roadway, careless operation, no insurance and improper backing with an accident.
