Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind everyone that school has officially started.

He said there are posted speed limit signs in each school zone. Officers will be posted in the school zones to make sure traffic signs are obeyed.

He also said motorists must look out for pedestrians since there are many children who walk to school.

Chief Robinson said there is zero tolerance for discharging a firearm inside the city limits.

“If you are caught, you will be arrested,” he said. “There will not be a city bond for the charge and you will go directly to Richland Parish Detention Center where you will have to post a professional bond ot get out or wait until your court date.”

Chief Robinson would like to tell everyone that if you need his help or have any concerns, please feel free to stop by his office at 900 Harrison St., or give him a call at 318-728-4431.
