Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of May 2-9.

• Jaylynn Taylor, 27, 402 McGuire St., West Monroe; harassment.

• Kenneth Martinez, 32, 403 Linda S., Rayville; leash law violation.

• Darren Collins, 30, 314 Wood St., Rayville; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, no driver’s license and careless operation with an accident.

• Alexis Stansbury, 27, 2848 Magnolia St., Rayville; failure to appear for expired MVI and failure to appear for no driver’s license.

• Three juveniles were arrested this week. Two were charged with theft and one with aggravated battery.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of 20 traffic citations this week. That number includes 11 for speeding, three for no driver’s license and one each for no seat belt, leash law violation, driving left of center, failure to stop, driving under suspension and improper lane change with an accident.

Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind everyone to observe the posted speed limits and the other traffic regulations. Chief Robinson stated within the last past week, his officers have issued several citations for speeding.

“If you do not want to receive a citation for speeding, do not violate the speed limit,” Chief Robinson said. “Speed limits are posted for the safety of yourself, other motorists and pedestrians.
