Delhi secures funds to improve water system

Gov. John Bel Edwards has approved a $592,000 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant Public Facilities application for the Town of Delhi.

This grant award is contingent upon the state’s receipt of LCDBG funds from HUD.

We are ecstatic about this support for our community.

These state funds are critical in continuing to enhance our water projects which will impact positively the quality of life for our citizens.

The town council, staff and I realize that we have to take advantage of all current funding opportunities including the CARES Act, American Rescue Plan Act, and Bi-Partisan Infrastructure Bill to spur economic and community development in the Town of Delhi.

We have assembled a very good team which includes, but is not limited to, engineers, architects and consultants to support the efforts of our NELA Legislative delegation and parish government.  We call upon our Congressional delegation to advocate for our community as we work to make a difference.

Thank you to Gov. Edwards, Sen. Katrina Jackson and Rep. Francis Thompson for your support.  Keep those funds coming.

In the meantime, “One person can make a difference. Make your mark.”
