Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of Feb. 21 through March 1.

• James Tibbs, 46; 467 Overland Stage Road, Rayville shoplifting.

• Destiny Bryant, 25; 509 Grant Ave., Ruston; shoplifting (first offense).

• Mark Nobles, 55; 504 Spencer St., Apt. #12, Rayville; disturbing the peace (general).

• James Williams, 62; 304 Pine St., Rayville; contempt of court (two counts).

• Shaquille O’Neal, 26; 6444 Patey Road, Collinston; home invasion and armed robbery.

• Antonio Washington, 33; 19 Baker Lane, Rayville; no driver’s license.

• One juvenilewas arrested for shoplifting.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of four traffic citations this week. That number includes one each for speeding, no insurance, failure to secure registration and improper use of a temporary plate.

Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinsonwould like to remind motorists of the importance of keeping their vehicle documentation up-to-date.

“You are required by law to have a current motor vehicle inspection sticker, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance in your vehicle any time that the vehicle is in operation,” the chief said.

 Chief Robinson also advised that anyone driving the vehicle should also carry a valid driver’s license.
