Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of July 17-24.

• Kevin Osteen, 22, 112 Tenth Blv. Jonesville; driving under suspension and failure to obey traffic control.

• Tabitha Jones, 29, 316 Russell St., Apt. 10, Rayville; domestic abuse battery and aggravated second degree battery

• Robert Kenly, 22, 1261 Hwy 134, Rayville; failure to appear for speeding.

• Albert Jaallen, 23, 800 Tank St., Tallulah; no driver’s license and improper lane change.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of 22 traffic citations this week. That number includes 12 for speeding, two each for careless operation with an accident and no proof of insurance and one each for two headlights required, improper lane change, no seatbelt, no driver’s license, expired driver’s license and modified exhaust.

Rayville Police Markus Turner would like to remind everyone that it is illegal to ride an off-road vehicle on a public roadway. You cannot ride a three-wheeler, four-wheeler or other all-terrain vehicles on a public roadway. 

The only way you can ride an off-road vehicle on a public roadway is if it is registered through the Department of Motor Vehicles and it has a license plate on it. If you are caught, you will receive a citation.
