Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of Feb. 20-28.

• David Phillips, 36, 105 Balfour St., Rayville; damage to property greater than $100 and unauthorized entry to an inhabited building.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of five traffic citations this week. That number includes three for speeding and one each for no driver’s license and obstruction of a highway.

Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like everyone to know the Rayville Police Department is taking a stand against fighting.

He stated if you are involved in a fight, you would be arrested and charged for disturbing the peace by fighting. You would also be required to post a professional bond if you are unable to pay the fine at the time of arrest.

Chief Robinson would like to say if you are involved in a fight on school grounds, you will be arrested by law enforcement and receive disciplinary measures at the school.

Chief Robinson stated if you are having a personal dispute with someone that you feel may deteriorate into a physical altercation, please contact his office and let one of the officers assist in resolving the situation.
