Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of Feb. 13-20.

• Marcus Hubbard, 55, 220 Scott St., Rayville; disobedience to a police officer.

• Jiuniur Sanchez, 32, illegal possession of stolen things.

• Zaquinton Hampton, 33, 331 Acel St., Rayville; no license plate, no insurance and driving under suspension.

• Keara Minnieweather, 18, 1366 Hwy 584, Rayville; disobedience to a police officer and disturbing the peace by fighting.

• Jaylasia Collins, 22, 114B Massey K Drive, Rayville; disturbing the peace by fighting.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of 21 traffic citations this week. That number includes nine for speeding, two each for no license plate, no motor vehicle inspection and wrong way on a one way and one each for failure to secure registration, careless operation with an accident, expired motor vehicle inspection, no driver’s license, no insurance and disobeying a traffic control with an accident.

Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to advice all citiens of Rayville you must have a valid driver’s license in your possession in order to operate a motor vehicle.

He advised if you have never been licensed by the Department of Motor Vehicles or if you have been licensed and your license has been revoked or suspended for any reason, you are not legally permitted to drive. 

Chief Robinson warned if you are found operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, you will be arrested and charged accordingly. Chief Robinson also advised it is important for all documents pertaining to the vehicle be kept current and valid as well.
