Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of Jan. 30 through Feb. 6.

• Eshell Markcom, 36, 102 McConnell Drive, Rayville; theft less than $300.

• Tina Jackson, 45, 1100 E. Madison Ave., Apt 5, Bastrop; remaining after forbidden.

• Deshawn Gipson, 26, 114 Coleman St., Rayville; resisting arrest by flight and theft less than $300.

• Charlie Washington, 38, 19 Baker Lane, Rayville; obscenity (incident exposure), resisting arrest by force or violence and public intoxication.

• Paris Wilson, 35, 708 Martin Luther King Drive, Rayville; disturbing the peace (general).

• Joseph Smith, 43, 708 Martln Luther King Drive, Rayville; disturbing the peace (general).

• Keanna Reed, 22, 32 Plum Tree Drive, Rayville; damage to property greater than $100.

• Ladarius Dean, 32, 108A South Circle Drive, Rayville; theft less than $300.

• Eric Murphy, 27, 124A South Circle Drive, Rayville; theft less than $300·

• One juvenile was arrested this week for simple battery and simple criminal trespassing.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of six traffic citations this week. That number includes two each for speeding and tail lights and one each for no child restraint and careless operation with an accident.

Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to advise all citizens of Rayville it is very important to be in court if you are scheduled to appear.

He stated whether you have been scheduled to appear in court on a traffic citation or as the victim, witness or suspect of a crime, if you have been subpeoned to appear in court, it is mandatory to do so.

 He stated if you do not, you will be issued a warrant for failure to appear in court.
