Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind all motorists it is your responsibility to make sure the vehicle you are driving is properly maintained.

He stated once you enter the driver’s seat of a vehicle, that vehicle becomes your responsibility.

For example, if you borrow someone’s vehicle and the inspection sticker is expired, you will receive a citation for expired motor vehicle inspection. Chief Robinson stated you should also inspect your vehicle on a regular basis. He stated you should check the headlights, signal lights, brake lights, etc.

Chief Robinson encourages all citizens to come by the Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St., Rayville, or to call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
