Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of Nov. 11-19.

• Lyndell Washington, 50, 19 Baker Lane, Rayville; shoplifting.

• Khelcile Williams, 28, 1128 Massey K. Drive, Rayville; damage to property.

Lavelle Sledge, 30, 1656 Hwy 5941, Monroe; simple battery.

• Corey Murphy, 29,  107 Donna St., Rayville; unauthorized use of a moveable.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of six traffic citations this week. That number includes five for speeding and one for careless operation with an accident.

Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind everyone that he has an open door policy and the police department is always open 24/7.

“If you need to speak with an officer, please do not hesitate to come to the police department,” he said. “If you cannot come by the office to speak with an officer, you can call and request to speak with an officer and an officer will gladly come to your location. We are here to protect and serve our community.”
