Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to wish the entire community a happy Thanksgiving. This year, Thanksgiving may return to a semblance of normalcy as families are beginning to reunite. Chief Robinson would like everyone to remember the reason for this holiday.

“Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and be thankful for what you have,” he said.

Chief Robinson wants to let everyone know that he is proud of our community and he prays blessings will rain down on it.

During this holiday, Chief Robinson would like to stress to everyone COVID-19 is still a real threat.

“We must all take the necessary precautions as we gather together with our families,” he said. “We must also remember we are approaching the Christmas season. Please remain vigilant and protect your property during this time.”

Thefts usually rise during this time of year due to deliveries of goods left unattended and the influx of goods into the households preparing for Christmas.

Remember to lock your doors and remove anything of value from sight from vehicles. If anyone notices suspicious activity, remember to call the Rayville Police Department.

Their office will remain open during the holidays to assist in your needs.
