Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind everyone that it is very important to keep a clean record.

“Getting charged for a crime can sometimes cause problems when you are trying to get a job,” he said. “Several property owners also check your criminal record whenever you apply for housing. Therefore, I encourage you to think before you act.”

Chief Robinson would also like to remind the citizens about buying goods from private sources on the internet. Chief Robinson stated unless you are certain that the items belong to the person you are buying them from, you should really think twice before you make the purchase. If you buy stolen items, you can be arrested for that, even if you had no knowledge that it was stolen.

Chief Robinson would like to encourage all citizens to report any suspicious persons, vehicles or activities to Rayville Police Department.

If you need their assistance in any way, please feel free to come by their office at 900 Harrison St.. You can also call the Rayville Police Department at 318-728-4431.
