Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind everyone if you receive a citation or are arrested, you must appear in court if you do not pay your fine before your court date. If you fail to appear in court, there will be a bench warrant issued for your arrest.

“We are enforcing this immediately,” he said.

Chief Robinson would also like to advise all citizens of Rayville when you call to the police department in reference to a complaint, incident or accident, you should provide as many details as possible. The more details you provide, the greater the chances are that your complaint can be successfully resolved.

Chief Robinson would like to caution the citizens of this town that have guns (long or short).

“When guns are fired, you cannot stop the bullet once it leave the barrel,” Chief Robinson said. “I asked the public to work with us to try to keep guns off the street and out of the wrong hands. However, we just arrested two people and they are at Richland Parish Detention Center with high bonds until court.”

If you see something, say something before some innocent bystander gets hurt.

Chief Robinson would like to remind all citizens that he has an open door policy and encourage all citizens to come by Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison Street or call 318-728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
