Plans underway for first Miss Mudbug Court

Preparations are underway for the first Miss Mudbug’s Court pageant.

The pageant will be held June 12 at the Rayville Arts Center with registration beginning at 1:30 p.m. and the pageant beginning at 2 p.m.

Organizer Bethany West said attire for contestants will be pageant dress or Sunday best.

The basic entry fee will be $55 (this includes division side awards). You can enter both overall photogenic and supreme titles for $15 extra.

There will be a Grand Supreme title awarded to each Supreme breakdown. The breakdowns are 0-3 years and 4-11 years.

“If we have enough entries I will include an Ultimate Supreme title,” West said. “This will be the highest score of the entire pageant.”

Age groups will be 0-11 months, 12-23 months, 2-3 years, 4-5 years, 6-7 years, 8-9 years and 10-12 years.
