Gilmore to compete in pageant

Richland Parish college student Madeline Claire Gilmore, 20,  will travel to Orlando, Fla.,  to represent the state of Louisiana by competing in the National American Miss nationwide pageant the last week of November.

She is a state queen representing the Miss division of the pageant for Louisiana.

Gilmore was recently named NAM Louisiana Miss 2020.

  An LSU junior from Rayville, Gilmore is an integrity scholarship recipient studying finance and political science and has interned with our legislature both on the state and national levels. 

Gilmore is a member of Delta Gamma sorority at LSU where she volunteers her time for the organization’s philanthropy, Service for Sight and the Louisiana School for the visually Impaired.  She also serves as a Greek Ambassador at LSU and enjoys meeting new students and families on campus.

During the pageant week, Gilmore will be competing in formal wear, interview, personal introduction, spokesmodel, runway model and casual wear modeling divisions with 29 other state representatives in her age division.  

National American Miss is one of the largest pageant systems in the nation and has six age divisions for girls ages 4 to 24. 

 The organization, which uses the motto is “Growing in Confidence,” strives to encourage and grow strong and confident young women from across the nation to be the best version of themselves.
