DCS teams wins VEX Robotics Tournament

Delhi Charter continued their winning streak this season by winning top awards at Saturday’s NELA VEX Robotics Tournament. 

Garrett Gray, Kyle Peters, Ashton Harrell and Zachary Reddick of Delhi Charter team 8892D took home the top award at the tournament, the Excellence Award, as well as winning tournament champions.

Rylee Graham, Abbie Houston and Jenny Wright of Delhi Charter team 8892B secured the Design Award. 

 Catholic High School from New Iberia  also deserves praise for sharing the Tournament Champions award with DCS, as well as winning both the Robot Skills and Build Awards.  

Pineville High School from Pineville rounded out the winners by taking home the Judges Award.  

The NELA VEX tournament drew in 18 top teams from across the state, including teams from Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Delhi, New Iberia, Pineville, and Rayville. 

Delhi Charter plans next to compete in the Pineville VRC Robotics Tournament on March 27 before heading to the state championship in Alexandria on April 16.
