DCS student places at Beta convention

Cloe Morgan of Delhi Charter School was announced as a winner in Creative Writing Division 2 where she placed 7th nationally in late July. 

Morgan originally competed and placed second at the State Convention held in Baton Rouge in January.  Her victory at the state level provided an opportunity to compete at the national level.

The National Convention, originally planned to be held in Fort Worth, was cancelled due to health and safety concerns stemming from the Coronavirus pandemic. However, more than 12,000 Junior Beta members in grades 4-8 and Senior Beta members in  grades 9-12 were able to represent their schools in the first National Beta Virtual Convention.
