Community Calendar

• Care and Share will have a half price sale March 19 at 1214 Rosa St., Rayville.Care and Share director Angie Collins said the charity was unable to host this popular event earlier due to COVID-19 restrictions, but shoppers are invited to attend the March 19 event.

• The food box from Food for Families/Catholic Charities  also known as the “cheese-box” will be distributed March 19. Two boxes will be passed out to make up for the February box which was missed due to bad weather last month. 

• The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry will host a pesticide disposal pickup from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 1 at 754 Hwy 80 East, Monroe. Inventory sheets can be obtained from your local LSU AgCenter office and should be turned in to the office by March 19.

• Richland Parish Schools will host kindergarten registration from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 22-26. Parents are encouraged to participate so preparations may be made for their children for the 2021-22 school year.
