Holly Ridge Happenings

JESUS CHRIST

Justified me before God
Emancipated my heart
Saved me from myself
Untangled my self-esteem
Spoke life over me

Cleansed me of shame
Healed my wounds
Redeemed my life
Inspired me to love others
Smoothed my Rough edges
Took my place on the cross

Ricky and Brenda Goodman and Allen and Diane Nettles traveled to Shreveport on Tuesday to attend the funeral of Geraldine Jones Watson. If you knew Geraldine you could only love her. May God bless this family during this loss but heavens gain.

Coming by the store on Tuesday was Vince Hillman and his children, Abby, Mitzie and Jack. He had picked the children up from school at Riverfield. They got ice cream and we did visit for a while. I did enjoy the visit but they could do this more often.

Tanja Thompson was in Monroe on Saturday night. She was there to attend the birthday dinner at Doe’s Restaurant for her daughter, Mara Brown, given by Mara’s in-laws, Charles and Rhonda Brown. Others who shared in this happy occasion were Kyle Brown, Coty and Hope Brown, Fisher, Ranger and Archer, Mrs. Julia May, Garland Jones and Betty Knight. There was a great meal and fellowship around their table. Enjoyed by all! She also had a Mardi Gras King Cake!

Vanessa was in Shreveport on Saturday for lunch with Kelsie Cheek then on to Terrah T. Johnson’s for a appointment and visit. Enjoy the day.  Greg carried Jeanne to Jackson on Wednesday for a birthday lunch at Drago’s. I think their eyes were bigger than their stomach (isn’t that the old saying?) They said it surely was good, but very filling, but they ate the whole order. Ha

God is saying to you: No man, not anything, can separate you from My Love.

Think about this for a moment. There is separation from life, with friends, families, couples, even children. But you will never be separated from My Presence. Cling to Me for strength. Cling to Me with confidence. My love will always protect you. Rest in My gift of Love when you follow Me.

Happy Birthday this to: Billy Nix and Kaiten Roberts on January 23rd, Dustin Silk, Cyrstal Stokes, Lori Pierce on January 24th, Chelsea Lyons,  Jacob Thompson, Richard Freeland on January 26th, Toni Elkins and Austin Sharbono on January 27th, Hallie Marie Graham, Carson Gratham on January 29th. May these celebrate many more happy ones!

Anniversary wishes to: My “lil” brother Malvin and Sharon Sistrunk on January 28th, David and Debbie Massey on January 29th, I wish these many more years of a happy life together!

Have a great week. I do wish you would call and share!

Remember: Sometimes your worst enemy is your own memory. Let it all go! There is Power in Prayer. Just talk to Him and you’ll receive peace, understanding and rest.
