Holly Ridge Happenings

You can trust God’s plan because He: Never changes, Hebrews 13:8; Is all-powerful, Jeremiah 32:17; Is all-knowing, Psalms 147:5; Always with me, Psalms 139:7-10; Is wise, Romans 11:33; Is faithful, Psalms 119:90; Is good, Psalms is love; 1 John 4:7-8, Is merciful, Romans 9:15-16.

Worship gets you through the hardest times in your life because it shifts your focus from the problem to the problem solver!

Mr. Dick Rankin from Alaska has been down for several days. He came for the Graham wedding and hung around for a week or so just visiting. He does enjoy this.

Recent visitors were John and Ellen Vaughn Davis from Mississippi. Stopped in for a most welcome visit.

Dennis Farrar and his son/grandson, Kedd, from West Monroe were here on Saturday just like always. We were just remembering when, Ha! When we were much younger!

Visiting with Jerry and Diane Cobb over the Thanksgiving Holiday were Steven Cobb from Belarrade, Mt., Sheri and Steve Biritz, Lisa, Lauren, Sarah from Kansas City, Mo., Sue Cobb from Lafayette, Cheryl Cobb, Amy Brye, Anna Bell Kirk from Baton Rouge, Ryle and Bryce Cobb. Now they have an empty nest except for the cats. All had a great time.

Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the Clack and Chricol families in the loss of their loved ones, Harvey and Brenda Clack. May God’s love be on them all the time, but especially now.

Remember: Being kind is more important than being right. What people often need is not a brilliant mind that speaks but a caring heart that listens.
