Lord
Write your word on my heart. Your promises are the only ones that never fail. The grass will wither and fade but every Word You speak is forever. Help me to trust You more than I trust earthly security. When you feel alone try to remember this. Above you are God’s overshadowing wings (Psalm 91:4). Beneath you are God’s everlasting arms (Deut 33: 27). All around you is the Angel of the Lord (Psalm 34:7). Inside you is God’s peace (Philippians 4:7).
Bennie and Donna Nicholson from Vida, Texas have been here with their camper trailer visiting with Tommy and Mickie Nicholson on the home place on the Ruff Road. Bennie stopped in on Tuesday and he and I did a lot of “remember when.” Ha! Was so good to see him.
My cuz, Randy Sistrunk from Monroe, finally came by to say hello. He works at Dumas but never has time to come by. Busy guy.
Some of my great-grands, Cooper and Cotten Thompson, have been away for a few days traveling with their Grandma T.C. and Pop-Pop Tommy Lynn and cousins Grace and Annaleigh Lynn. They went up through Tennessee and picked up Ahndi then on to several places of interest, like the Ark in Kentucky. Had a very good time.
Tyler and Ashley Cheek, Carter and Aiden, mama, Barbara Ann McCormick, Ricky and Sherry Smith and other friends, enjoyed the Rutherford Beach last weekend.
Tommy and Traci Mayhall from Victoria, Texas, came by on their way up to Jacksonville, NC, to camp at LeJune Marine Base to visit their son, LCP Koltyn Mayhall. Tommy was remembering when his school bus driver would stop and let them get an ice cream cone. Ha! That’s been a while back. Stopping in on Saturday was my friends son, Phillip, and Veronica Ulmer from St. Francisville. Karlyn Hall Ulmer and I are very good friends. Yes we are! They were on their way to Conway, Ark., to visit friends.

May these celebrate many more happy ones.
