Holly Ridge Happenings

If you're going to believe in everthing you read, then start with your Bible.

Choose this day to enjoy the living, loving, all-powerful Presence of Christ inside of you instead of letting yourself be distracted by all the chaos going on outside of you. You’ll be so glad you did.

I really had a surprise on Wednesday morning, Walter Hillman stopped in and I can’t tell you when I last saw him. He had some bacon and sausage and cake, (does not drink coffee) It was so good to visit and try to catch up on happenings.

Gosh! Mrs. Betty Jo Franklin, your yard is so pretty that even my great grandson, Cooper said “That is a beautiful yard.” I said, “Always.”

We were in Start on Friday afternoon for the Eight grade graduation where my great grandson, Carter Cheek, had top honors. Just a blink of your eyes and in four more years he will be in college.

Stopping in Saturday was James Nicholson from Calhoun. Retired and doesn’t know what to do, Ha! Just kidding. Probably got “honey-do” jobs.

“Ole Granny” Mary Russell called to tell that she went over to Barbara Ann’s to buy some eggs from Aiden.

He did not have any, he told her the hen’s been laying for a year and it was time to quit. Ha. Out of the mouths of babes for the truth. One reason is a good as another.

It is so important to LOVE someone a little extra on their bad days. We can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone.

Happy Birthday this week Hilda Clack on May 27, Will Senn on May 28, George Dew on Maay 29, my grandson, Tyler Cheek, and Karen Seniff on May 30, Teresa Rawls, Jeannie Donald and Lauran Biritz on May 31 and Justin Thompson and Bud McNees on June 1st. May these celebrate many more happy ones.

No anniversary’s logged, so, if you are having an anniversary let it be a happy one.

Have a great week. Call and share! And remember to mail you dues for the cemetery. Thanks to you who have!

Remember: Inside me is a weak heart, but behind me is a strong God. He is my best friend.
