Holly Ridge Happenings

Two absolute facts:

1. God chose the color of my skin and sex.

2. I am not about to apologize for His decisions. Period! End of discussion.

Many turn from Jesus because of a bad experience with religious people. But know this, Jesus also had a bad experience with religious people. He was killed by them. Religion will not save you. Only Jesus Saves!

Let me begin with the talk around Thompsonville. Ha, I’ve got two new screen doors on the front of the store. They do look good and thanks to Greg, also the front have been pressure washed. That made it a lot better. Ha!

If I didn’t have my children to mow my yard, etc., I don’t know. Visiting with me on Tuesday morning was Melva T., and Lee Summers from Siloam Spring, Ark., and Geneava and Sherman Williams. Had a good visit.

Doug Owens and his wife came by also on Tuesday and I carried Doug’s ice cream to him in the truck and he said “service with a smile.” I said always. I had not seen him in years!

Wednesday brought Billy Ray and Trinaka Self from Bull Shoals Ark. They had come this way to just see where he was raised at. He said it was hardly recognizable.

They were on their way to Mississippi from here to see their grandson play ball. It was so good to see him.

Kelsie Cheek was here for a couple of days from Dallas. She says she loves it out there, and I sure hope so.
