Holly Ridge Happenings

A man in the White House gave you $1400 to pay off a little bit of debt.

Another man hung on an old rugged cross that paid your debt IN FULL!!

Poor choices, wasted years, mistakes we’ve made. God answers the mess of our lives with one word: GRACE!

Until JESUS is enough, no person or thing will ever be. The truth is, if we ever got a real glimpse of God’s perfect, blazingly pure Holiness, we would realize that we live by infinite mercy every second of every day.

Rechelle and Reina Rawls motored out to Oklahoma for four days with Jamie Deline and Roman Rawls during Easter vacation from school. I tell you what, my little Reina made blueberry muffins before school one morning last week. I downed one when she stopped. It was still hot. Yum, yum!

Dan and Carol Little from West Monroe were here on Tuesday. No ice cream did I  have. Well, he came back on Friday for his strawberry cone. Ha!

My niece, Sharra, and daughter, Anna Aswell, from Downsville came by on Thursday at lunch time after being in Tallulah for visitation of Mr. Paul Fortenberry.

We ate lunch, visited and they had to go, but as I say a short visit is better than none at all!

The greatest thing ever found on Easter morning wasn’t eggs. It was an empty tomb!

Steve and Janet traveled to Texarkana for Easter with the Bolsters, Josh, Janna, Stephen, Ethan, Maxwell and Eliana. Had a great time and Mr. Dan was also with them.

Oh the beauty of God. The tulips and azaleas are just awesome. So pretty.

“Old Granny” Mary Russell called me to report what a great time she had at the crawfish boil at Barbara Ann's on Green Street in Start. Tyler Cheek and Tyler Thomas did the cooking and there was a lot there to enjoy!

Got a call from Jean W. Farris in Tyler, Texas to tell me that her cousin, Nancy King Foster from Jones, had passed away. Our sincere sympathy and prayers are with her family during these hours. May God bless each one touched by her passing.

Happy Birthday this week to: Linda Calloway on April 8th, Dylan Brock on April 9th, Margie Chilsom and Annaleigh Grace Simmons on April 10th, Joney Adams, Stephens Blake Cobb, Kellie Thames on April 11, Neal Rawls on April 12th, Aunt Lannie Thompson, Ashley Pyles, Daniel Rawls, Chad Rawls, Caleb Ham on April 13th, Brisa Ross Pruitt on April 14th. May these celebrate many, many more happy ones.

Have a great week! Don’t forget your donation to the McKnight and Bethel Cemetery. Thanks to you who have already given.

Remember:  God created me, saved me, blesses me, heals me, forgives me, protects me, All because He loves me.
