Ms. Smith was born Jan. 5, 1950, in Winnsboro and passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William “Buddy” Smith; her parents, Lola Fuller Windham and Alfred Eugene Moody; brother Sonny Moody; sister Glenda Morris; brother-in-law Gerald Barnett Sr.; niece Shanna Berry; and nephews Gerald Barnett Jr. and Pap Moody.

Survivors include her stepson, Jeff Smith and wife Carolyn of El Dorado, Ark.; grandchildren Samantha Mann and husband Chris of Sterlington, Jacob Smith and wife Rachel of Greers Ferry, Ark.; great-grandchildren Logan Mann, Emma Mann, Ella Mann, Effie Jane Smith and Elosie Smith; siblings Dixie Stovall, Bobbie Moody, Tammy Malone and husband Reggie, and Kitty Barnett; nieces and nephews Eddie Lord and wife Anna, Tommy Lord, Raini Graham, Billy Boone and wife Charlotte, Felecia Lively and husband D.J., Travis Barnett and wife Tracey, Cody Barnett, Terry Morris and wife Chasity, Kevin Morris and wife Tena, Kim Wall and husband Keith, and Reggie Malone Jr. and wife Abbie; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
