Interment was in the Greer Cemetery, Rayville, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Mrs. Clara was born December 17, 1934, in Hebert, and passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Rayville.
She worked in accounting in several roles while her husband was stationed in various places in the military service. Upon returning to Richland Parish was the chief accounting office manager for the Rayville Compress until her retirement.
Clara was active in Saints Alive at the First Baptist Church. She was president of Triad through the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office for several years. She also was a master quilter and would teach young and old at no charge, often furnishing fabric and machines. She made CASA quilts for foster children.
Clara was a charter member of First Assembly of God Church serving as the treasurer for many years and very active in her church for over 50 years. She was always helping with the high school reunions for the Class of 1953 Rayville High School.
Clara assisted Michael Anderson with the editing and typing for his column on history of Richland Parish for the Richland Beacon.
Clara was a very giving person who always wanted to help others and always put others first and bless them as she felt she had been blessed herself. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, R.H. Cromwell; and halfsister, Estelle.
Survivors include her children, Rhonda Del Rio (DeWayne) and Rick H. Cromwell (Roxane); grandchildren, Ariel Del Rio Graham (Joshua) and Devin Del Rio; great grandchildren, Jeb Walls, Rhett Graham, Ryker Del Rio, Abby Graham, Hallie Graham, and Olivia Graham; siblings, Claude “Dudley” Henson (Erika), Vernon Henson (Dot), and Shirley Tucker (Tom Calhoun); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were DeWayne Del Rio, Devin Del Rio, Joshua Graham, Glen Disedare, Cody Spencer and Jason Henson. Honorary pallbearers were Jeb Walls and David Hamm.
