Roger was preceded in death by his parents, A.A. and Fannie Birdwell; sister, Alvie Mae Birdwell Kirkland.

Survivors include his brother, James Charlie Birdwell (Linda) of Shreveport; port; sister, Janice Johnson of Many; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank his caregivers at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehab in Rayville and The Delhi Group Home.
