The Richland Revitalization Board is proud to partner with the Merry Little Depot Street Festival Committee to bless students at Delhi Schools this holiday season.
Because of ongoing construction on Depot Street in Delhi this year, the committee could not host the Merry Little Depot Street Festival, an event that normally provides support for local families in Delhi. With a community mindset, the Richland Revitalization Board used a portion of the proceeds from Market 425, held in November in Rayville, to help fill that gap and continue the tradition of giving. By joining efforts, both groups ensured that the tradition of giving and the impact on local families continued despite the disruption.
“The Richland Revitalization Board is honored to provide a little extra cheer for students in Delhi High, Delhi Middle, and Delhi Elementary. This is what Richland Parish is all about,” Richland Revitalization Board President Sharon Gilmore said. “When one part of our parish faces a challenge, we step in and work together. We are grateful for organizations who share the same heart for our communities and who understand community service - By creating community events for our citizens and visitors. This donation will help bring holiday joy to many students and highlights the strength of community collaboration throughout Richland Parish.”
