Holiday events set across Richland Parish

Richland Parish residents will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate the season, with Christmas festivals, parades and open houses planned throughout the parish in early December.

Rayville will host its Holly Jolly Christmas Jubilee at 5 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Rayville Civic Center. The family-friendly event will feature festive treats, caroling, twinkling lights and photos with Santa.

Mangham’s Merry Christmas Festival is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at Venue on Main, encouraging residents to shop local. Mangham Hardware will host Pictures with Santa that same day from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Mangham will also hold its Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. Dec. 7. There is no entry fee, and those wishing to enter a float may call Town Hall at 318248-2170. Fireworks will follow the parade.

The Richland Parish Chamber of Commerce will hold its Christmas Open House from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 7 in downtown Rayville. Holiday shopping, refreshments, door prizes and gifts will be available.

Delhi will celebrate with its annual Christmas Parade at 4 p.m. Dec. 13. The theme encourages residents to “Let the Sweet Times Roll,” and registration is available through town hall. Delhi residents can also support the season by participating in the town’s Adopt-a-Pole program. For $5, individuals or businesses can decorate a pole to help beautify the community and support parade activities. For more information, contact Delhi City Hall at 878-3792.

Start will hold its annual Christmas Parade & Festival on Dec. 13. The festival will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Start Elementary School gym, with the parade beginning at 10 a.m. on Owl Loop.

With events planned across the parish, residents will have many chances to enjoy holiday traditions, shop locally and welcome the Christmas season with family and neighbors.
