Delhi Bears beat FCCS 71-59

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bastrop, Delhi was happy to have turned things around on Friday.

They walked away with a 71-59 victory over Family Community Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Leading Delhi to victory were Kamarrio Banks and Jatavius Hester. Banks almost dropped a doubledouble with 25 points and nine rebounds, while Hester went 8-for-17 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

Another player making a difference was Jayden Lusk, who posted nine points and six steals.

The win got Delhi back to even at 1-1. As for Family Community Christian, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Delhi will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Richwood at 7 p.m. on Dec. 2.
