Rayville library branch ready for the holidays

The Rayville branch of the Richland Parish Library is excited to invite the community to a month full of holiday-themed activities and family fun this December.

From creative crafts to cozy gatherings, there’s something for everyone.

• Dec. 2 from 3–5:30 p.m. Drop-in Holiday Card Making (All Ages) Stop by the Rayville branch meeting room to create your own holiday cards. Supplies will be provided at stations—just bring your creativity.

• Dec. 12 from 3–6 p.m. Pictures with Santa & The Polar Express Movie Join the library staff for photos with Santa followed by a pajama-party screening of The Polar Express.

• Dec. 19 from 3-5 p.m. Wrap and Yap Party Need space to wrap gifts? The library will provide wrapping paper, so drop in, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies and chat with friends while you wrap. (Presents not provided, supplies limited.)

• Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon. Gingerbread House Decoration Build and decorate your own gingerbread house. Fun for all ages!

• Dec. 22 from 4–5 p.m. De-Stress Hygge Program Embrace the Danish concept of coziness with comfy chairs, a fireplace video, hot cocoa and a quiet space to relax. Bring your favorite blanket.

• Dec. 30 from 1–3 p.m. New Year Craft and Matinee: Cats (animated children’s movie) Celebrate the season with a New Year’s craft followed by popcorn and a fun movie for kids.

Celebrate the holidays with the Richland Parish Library in Rayville. All programs are free and open to the public.
