• New Beginnings Christian Ministry is hosting its Annual Harvest Drive. This special effort is designed to support families affected by today’s challenging economy. Families can pre-order full meal bags to prepare and enjoy at home. Supplies are limited, so be sure to reserve your family’s meal today by calling 318-334-1438, 318-334-2528 or 318334-4393. The deadline to reserve bags Nov. 9. The event will be held at 9 a.m. Nov. 16.

• Holly Ridge Baptist Church will celebrate its 125th anniversary at 2 p.m. Nov. 16, at 1540 Highway 584 in Rayville. Rev. Aaron Davison Jr. and St. Peter Rock Baptist Church will be special guests, and the public is invited.

• The Richland Parish Chamber of Commerce will host a Chamber 101 session from noon to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Planters Warehouse, 213 S. Benedette St., Rayville. Lunch will be provided. RSVP or register at www.richlandparishchamber. com

• All seniors 60 and over are invited to attend the annual Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast sponsored by the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office and TRIAD. The series begins at 8 a.m. Nov. 17 at Rayville United Methodist Church, continues at 8 a.m. Nov. 18 at the Delhi Civic Center, and concludes at 8 a.m. Nov. 19 at Mangham Baptist Church.

• Macedonia Baptist Church will host Thanksgiving Celebration Services at 11 a.m. Nov. 27 at 904 Martin Luther King Drive, Rayville. Apostle Urban “Chip” Brown of Life in Christ Family Church in Lancaster, Texas, will speak.

• East Richland Water Works will have its quarterly meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at the water office.

• The Town of Mangham will host its annual Christmas parade at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 with fireworks after the parade. Contact town hall to register for the parade.

• The Rayville Fire Department is seeking volunteers, emphasizing the critical need for community mem- for community members to join their ranks. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and drug screening. Those interested in serving can contact the Rayville Fire Department at 318-728-7515 or visit their headquarters at 902 Harrison Street.

• The Richland Parish Veterans of Foreign Wars meet at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Richland Parish Library.

• The Richland Parish Police Jury meets at 6 p.m. the first Monday of each month at the Richland Police Jury Annex Building, 35 Lynn Gayle Robertson Road, Rayville.

• The Richland Parish School Board meets at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at the Richland Parish School Board located at 411 Foster Street, Rayville.

• The Delhi Town Council meets at 5:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month at Delhi Town Hall.

• The Rayville Town Council meets at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of each month.

• The Mangham Town Council meets at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at Mangham Community Center.

• Friends of the Richland Parish Library are hosting a painting workshop which rotates between the Rayville and Mangham branches at 6 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. The fee is $25 per person per session and must be paid when registering in advance since seating is limited to 10 people per session. Call your library branch for more information.
