Homecoming festivities are underway at Delhi Charter School and students will wrap up the week with themed dress-up days, daily contests and a pep rally celebration.

On Thursday, students are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite show character.

Friday will culminate with the annual Blue and Orange Explosion, showcasing school spirit ahead of the pep rally. Daily winners from each dress-up theme will be announced at the rally, along with the overall winners for the week.

Earlier in the week, the homecoming queen and her court were honored at the Queen’s Luncheon, sponsored by the high school student council. The court expressed their appreciation for the support shown by staff and volunteers. Organizers thanked Dawn Myers and Mary Davis for decorating, as well as student council members Curtis Hall and Brooklyn Jones for their help during the event. Staff member Amy Ogden was also recognized for her work coordinating homecoming activities.

Students and community members are invited to take part in the remaining celebrations as Delhi Charter builds excitement for Friday’s homecoming parade at 3:30 p.m. and the homecoming game against the Rayville Hornets at 7 p.m. Friday.
